The 26-year-old Maharashtra Security Force guard got injuries on his right hand and waist and was treated at the CPR hospital. The accused, however, fled the spot after the attack. The police are looking for him. This case was reported to the CPR police and the crime was registered at the Laxmipuri police station.
According to the information received from the CPR police post and staff, the OPD of the hospital stays open in the morning between 9am and noon. As there is limited parking inside, vehicles are allowed to enter the premises only after proper inquiry.
A youth came to the hospital on a bike on Friday morning, and the guard, Pawan Sanjay Kadam, stopped him. The youth threatened saying: “Don’t you know who I am? I will kill you.” After the argument, the youth parked his vehicle in the parking lot for some time and left. However, he returned in the evening and attacked Kadam with a knife.
Though the guard blocked the suspect’s attempt to stab him, he got injuries on his hand and waist in the ensuing scuffle. Other guards and employees of the CPR hospital came to Kadam’s rescue. The accused then fled the spot. Kadam got treatment at the CPR hospital.
