Senior inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, assistant inspector Shailaja Jankar, police constables Yogesh Mohite and Vishal Shinde arrested Jitendra Satishkumar Dua (40) of Urali Kanchan after receiving a tip off. Gaikwad told TOI, “Dua is a native of Delhi and he brought the drugs from Delhi to sell it in the city. He was waiting for the customers and we received a tip off about his presence in the area.”
“Dua was taking orders via a mobile application, and accepted payment online. We are studying this app to know more,” Gaikwad said.
“Bunta is used in the tablet format and is often used with MD at parties. Dua started working at the ashram as his father was already working there. The accused lost his job during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. After this setback, he started peddling drugs,” Gaikwad added.
