There are several IT firms in Nashik which provide services to big information technology firms in Hyderabad. Earlier, officials had to travel either to Shirdi or Mumbai and from there take a flight to Hyderabad.
Similarly, many Nashik industrial units do business with automobile firms in Indore.
Further, the flight to Indore will connect three Jyotirlingas -two in MP and one at Nashik- which will boost religious tourism in Nashik.
Nashik is now connected by air to 5 cities -Delhi, Goa, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Indore and Hyderabad.
“Connectivity with Hyderabad is very necessary if we want to boost the growth of the IT sector in Nashik. Finally, a private airline has commenced flight from Nashik to Hyderabad, said Manish Rawal,” chairman, aviation committee of the Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association.
Apart from IT, there are many automobile companies in and around Hyderabad. Hence, trade and industry will get more business from there and it will also attract more investors to the city in future, said Rawal.
Nikhil Panchal, president, Ambad Industries & Manufacturers Association (AIMA), said that it is really a positive development that a flight has been started on the Nashik-Hyderabad sector. This will boost trade and industry in Nashik.
